SMS issues since Lollipop

Since the Lollipop update, my wife has been having issues sending and receiving text messages. Has anyone else had this issue? T-Mobile by the way.

Clear the system cache. If she still has problems, take the phone into TMobile. Their update, their problem to fix.

Well I called T-Mo. They had me clear the cache of the messaging app and reset the APNs. Worked for a while then started doing the same thing. I've already tried clearing the cache via recovery. Next step is a factory reset... oh joy. I'm thinking of using the RUU to reflash Lollipop cuz something sure isn't right with this update.
