Sms issues

I tried hooking up my pulse SMS app on my M5 tablet but I keep getting a message saying that I must make pulse my default sms app. But when you go into default apps, there is nothing for sms there. Any help would be appreciated. This M5 is the best tablet I've used. Even better and faster than my Samsung.

There's nothing that message that says "OK?" Most SMS apps tell you that, then give you the choice of making them the default app.
