SMS Messages Issues

New Droid user...

When I send a text/SMS message, it shows up on the recipient's phone as a different number - not even a normal looking phone number.

Happens with the default message tool and with Handcent.

After someone sends something to me, and I reply, they can then reply back OK. Just seems to occur when I initiate the thread.

Any ideas?

I've seen this on multiple Bolts today. Once the phones were rebooted the problem went away.

Thanks... tried to search the forums and couldn't find the issue, but a scroll through the posts and I found "pull the battery" - will give it a try....

Its showing your sim number. Try rebooting.
