SMS/MMS Groups

Is there any way I can make a contact entry that will add a whole group of people (under 10 people) when I am composing a text or MMS. I really don't want to have to put each person in separately.

You can do this if you use handcent for messaging.

In order to do it with handcent, I think you have to FIRST go to your gmail account on a pc, open contacts, and create groups there

Then handcent will be able to "see" the groups in your contacts.

I could be wrong on this.... Anyone know more about it, feel free to correct

Please elaborate.... What do you mean? Are you using handcent?

I made a group in gmail contacts added people and when the phone synced with gmail it pulled the group name I created but the people that i added are not part of the group it is empty

Go to your contacts, hit the menu button, then "Display Group," and there's an option to create a new group. You can select people already on your contact list. I use handcent and when you send a new txt msg, it lets you choose to send it to a contact or a group.

No need to fiddle with gmail or anything like that.
