SMS not being received until a phone call is made

I frequently go full days without receiving a phone call on my S6 on Sprint. I've noticed that when a do make a call I will sometimes receive a flood of SMS that were sent. I've taken a look through my settings and changed to different SMS apps, but the problem remains. I've finally just ended up calling or local weather line a couple of times a day to prevent this.

Any thoughts on what I might be missing? Didn't see this behavior on my S4 and my wife has no issues on her S5.

Hi there! I am not really sure what this issue could be, other than something with network connectivity, etc. Have you called your carrier to see if anything is up with your service? How old is your SIM card - maybe getting a new one will help?
