SMS over wifi...possible?

I started a new job and get zero reception inside the office with AT&T. My verizon co-workers have no problem. I've done some research and it doesn't look like any apps let me send SMS with my phone number over wifi but I wanted to know...it this possible with a rooted phone?

I just need to be able to send/receive text messages for work via Wifi. Thanks.

Not unless your phone supports WiFi calling. T-Mobile branded phones, and a few Sprint ones I believe. ATT doesn't have it, so you're out of luck for now
