SMS Popup Problems

I'm having some problems with the onboard notifications of SMS popup. I turned off the standard messaging ones so that popup would be able to change the read status and all that stuff. However, the LEDs won't work. I have it set to flash green and it doesn't. I'm running it on my Droid. Has anyone had this problem?

I found out what's wrong. The LED only flashes when the screen is off, not when the screen is on.
