SMS Text message issues?

Anyone having trouble sending/receiving text messages? I'm getting text messages from someone but it doesn't seem they are receiving my replies. Also, when I sent myself a txt to see if it was working, I received it but the "From:" was 1+ my IMSI number instead of my phone #. Any ideas how to fix this?

OK, I guess it took awhile for the system to update, or it was fixed with the battery pull I did. It's working now. So false alarm.

Friend of mine just text me from his thunderbolt. Same issue. Real nice Verizon.

This happens sometimes as their system updates. Happened last time I moved to a new device as well. It's annoying but is a system issue and not a phone issue, it'll clear up.

mine is doing the same thing..ppl are replying back asking "who is this"
They say is a long random number that shows up

Texting and receiving from a friend just fine. Tried sending one to my wife and nothing goes thru. The only way to text her is if she sends me one first, and then i reply. Even then instead of her name it shows her number. I hope it's just a glitch in the system and gets worked out over time.
