SMS to email while abroad

So, I'm travelling to Australia this December and was wondering if it's possible to have my texts and/or phone messages that are sent to my number while I'm outside of the States forwarded to my email. If so, would I be able to reply to the texts with email? Thanks for any help!

I'm not entirely sure but I think you can do this with google voice.

Yes integrate Google voice with your sprint phone number.

I did this on a trip to France and at worked awesome.
