snapchat only works on wifi

I have troubles with Snap Chat, it only works on WiFi. I have a Galaxy S6 for Sprint. Any suggestions? My chive app also closes out right away when I open it. Don't know if the problem is related or not.

Have you disabled background data on mobile for that app, maybe? Go to your Data Usage report in your Settings. There, find the SnapChat app and see if the RESTRICT BACKGROUND DATA option is checked.

I am also having this issue. There are no data restrictions for any app. All other apps work fine except snapchat. Have emailed snapchat to no avail. Extremely annoying because it was working fine about a week ago.

Did they update the app when it happened? Also, does it happen on any WiFi or just a particular one? In my case, for instance, Whatsapp messages are (for some reason) blocked at my work's WiFi, but perfectly fine at home or most public hotspots. And I've had a couple issues where certain IM apps don't work as well for notifications in airport hotspots (just notifications, once the app was open, messaging went back and forth without issues).
