Who here thinks the V30 might be one of the first phones with the Snapdragon 836? I haven't even used a phone with an 835 yet, but it would still be cool to have one of the only phones with the 836, although maybe Samsung or Google might get it instead.

No I don't think they will be the first for this one. LG has done good the past couple of devices with being first for one feature or another but I'm betting on SD835 for the V30. I mean, it just came out this year.

So far there's never been any credible evidence that the 836 exists. If it does, I hope the V30 does have it. Don't really care who gets it first, just really want as many devices with it as possible.

What? The 835 is already old for you?

No, not at all. Heck, I'm using an 820. Just was wondering if LG would have it first this year. Google had the 821 last year, so I was just thinking if LG would try to beat them this year, it might give them an advantage over the Note 8 if it only has an 835.

As previously stated not sure it exists.

Yeah, the issue is that some random unnamed person said the 836 will be in the Note 8 and then a different random unnamed person said it will be in the new Pixel. Neither one provided any evidence and neither one has ever been corroborated by anyone else.

Oh, ok. I saw it on a few sites, but if the rumor was started without any evidence, then I have no clue.

Yeah....no major news I've heard. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't exist. How do we even know the next planned number?

Well QC has used 845 internally and made unofficial comments about it, so we're pretty sure that's the new one. I think we even have the model number. They've never mentioned the 836, so if it does exist it's a better kept secret than Magneto's involvement in JFK.

Magneto from the Xmen?

It's a marketing gimmick. The SD 820 and 821 literally had no difference, maybe a 0.01 speed improvement. SD 835 is fine, and can't wait for it to be on the next LG V30, it's a VERY speedy yet power efficient processor, runs cooler and battery stays charged longer. Oh and it supports QC 4.0!

?

10% bump to CPU processing, 5% bump to graphics processing, major boost to power efficiency and some apparently huge improvements to their native image processing for the cameras. A 10% bump in power isn't night and day, but it's definitely not nothing.

Wait! How dare you bring facts into this....that's just not fair.
