So about putting honeycomb onto internal memory?

I see the sticky at the top of this forum, but I dont understand. If I have a stock NC do I need to do one of the other rooting threads first before I go ahead with the honeycomb? Sorry for the dumb question but I'm trying to get up to speed.

I just did the flash to internal memory for honeycomb. I didn't make any other changes first.
