So do we get VZ support?

I have bought a used Thunderbolt. The guy I bought it from, got it around when it first came out, used it for about 3 months and then switched to iPhone.

I do not have insurance on the phone..

Question is, should something go wrong with the phone, like screen malfunction or something else (due to no fault of mine) in the first few months, what options do I have as far as service @ the VZ store goes?

Do we get some sort of manufacture support on second hand phones? the phone is obviously less than 6 months old...

If I remember correct another poster already went through this same situation and from what they reported the device warranty is only for the original buyer and doesn't transfer... Even HTC would not cover the device even if the device was under the one year warranty once the device transferred to another user.

No you are on your own if u buy a otterbox u should be very well protected even from a car rolling over the phone. But I would not sudjust trying it.

You get little to no support from the vast majority of VZW retail locations... chances are that they will call Tech Support for help.

Even if your warranty is no longer valid, you can still call Tech Support yourself or try your luck at a store. They will still give you support for the device, you just will not be able to get a warranty replacement if the device is defective.

Tech support helped me for my second hand Droid 2 I had before my TB and even offered to replace it one time with a CLN device. It's like most stuff with Verizon, it's all in who you talk to.
