bought this tab and it has gingerbread on it. nothing in the market works. cant download anything. i don't know how to root or how to get apps on this thing. ready to throw it out. can anyone help

You can go here Start Here - Viewsonic GTablet For Dummies for information on how to root your tablet and install gapps. Make sure you download the correct bootloader version. You will love it once you get it all set up. It took me about a week of playing around with different ROMs to figure out which one I liked the best.
