These constant data drops and call drops from the LTE radio was too much. My phone is under warranty and I have insurance for my phone so I went to Verizon today and they are over-nighting me a replacement here by Monday at the latest. Said if the next one does not work so well I could upgrade as I am currently month to month and have an upgrade available. If the next Nexus does not work well with LTE either, I am getting a Galaxy S III with unlimited (he said I could if I get by the 28th). Wish me luck guys! Really want to stay with the Nexus and get Jelly Bean next week!

Oh you should get the S3!
I've heard it has much better battery life :)

I am very tempted, but at the same time, Jelly Bean is supposed to be announced next week and HOPEFULLY get to the CDMA Nexus close to when the GSM one gets it.

I suspect it's still a ways off regardless of when it's announced, could be wrong tho.
But in any case it's not like you will need to wait for it to be pushed. Whenever the source code is released you can expect all the popular ROMs will be based off it shortly, maybe within a week or 2. Waiting for OTA's is what scared people in the General section do :)

2defmouze is spot on.

One of the main reasons I rooted was because I was tired of waiting for VZW updates. Once Jellybean is released, there will be new ROM builds within a week, and likely a Milestone based on in within a month.

I had no idea JB was on the horizon. Cool

Good luck. I just recieved my 3rd one and finally got a good one :D

Did they send you a new phone or a refurb? I have heard people get "Verizon certified refurbs." As long as it is good condition and the LTE radio works as it should, I will be a happy camper. I want to keep my upgrade and stick with the Nexus as I am excited to see what Jelly Bean will bring us and I know that come Xmas time or maybe even around CES next year I will see something THEN I think would be worth upgrading to. Galaxy S III looks hot but not too much new stuff. I love stock Android and ROMs based on it toooooo much :)

It was a factory certified. It looks new to me with the only difference being the screen has a slightly different hue or color especially at lower brightness levels. I'm not sure if it's better or worse than the old phone, just different. I really don't care, because unlike the past 7 months, I can now make PHONE CALLS

I had to warranty my first Gnex out due to LTE issues a few weeks ago. The "Certified Like New" phone I received on 6/13/2012 has a build date of 5/29/2012. It's a new phone, just in the CLN packaging. No way it was made in Korea, shipped to the US, sold to a customer, returned, refurbished, and shipped to me in two weeks. Not saying that they're all like that, but mine was.

Just got mine! Mine was made in late April so I think mine is a new device. No more data drops on LTE! Old phone definitely had hardware issues. Ran very hot too and battery are made a weird smell after extended use (heated plastic?). The replacement looks new and runs like a champ! Very happy. Replacement process was fast and very easy!
