So I installed the Pixel launcher...

I read that it works with phones on Nougat so I decided to see if it would install. Works like a charm! Just in case anyone was wondering lol.

Did you side load it or right from the Play Store?

I had to sideload it, which means that Google Now doesn't slide out from the left most screen. But I'm okay with that because I never liked thst about the Google Now launcher anyway.

I just wanted to see if it would even sideload because the V20 is the first non-Google phone with Nougat and I wasn't sure if there was a specific hardware and/or software component to make it work.

I just tried it... I don't like it at all..
Very basic.

PS... You can take the Google swipe away and just make it an icon in the settings

You mean the swipe up from the bottom to open the app drawer?
