So i finally said damn to the man, and rooted my droid. Poor Droid now you are an illegal robot. So I have done a few things since, but I am not sure where to go, mostly where to get all the cool stuff, below is a list of things I have done, any suggestions to add?

-Rooted Droid
-Created Nandroid backup
-Downloaded Droid Root help(only used it to create Nandroid backup)
-Download Teminal Emulator(the video told me to, have no idea what the hell to do with it....)
-Downloaded RomManger Free version..apparently i need to pay for this to get good stuff I think...something about a clockworkmod, but reading that has problems...

So like I said any suggestions? I know people are thinking Why root the Droid if he didn't know what he was doing? Well if we all thought that way when we first did it, no one would have done it, so I like I said any help would be great...Damn the Man, Save the Empire.

flash a ROM? wifi tether(although i never needed it)? 2.1 exclusive apps like live wallpapers, also might do a test drive and attempt to use your nandroid backup before you actually need it, just to be safe (because people like me put spaces in the name of their backup and get error 21 and completely screw themselves....) :)

Flash the clockworkmod, then download/install Cyanogen 5.0.5.3. Make sure you click "Google Addons" as well. You can also install Overclock Widget once you've booted into a ROM of your choice (if you dont want/like Cyanogen). Just a suggestion.

You'll thank me! (I hope)

Alright, so where do I get this clockworkod file?

Get Rom manager from the market if you want ota then get premium its well worth the money

just get the FREE rom manager. You do not need to pay anything to load the rom

1) download rom manager for free
2) click the install button in app for the clockwork recovery
3) click the download roms -> find the latest cynaogen mod and download
4) install

You are done!

Although if you are willing to shell out some money, get the license for ROM manager, it makes everything super easy.

Also, make sure to get Titanium Backup, as this backs up ALL your apps and system data, makes switching ROMs really easy. This is also much faster and more useful if you get a license.

So I shelled out the cash, downloaded the Ultimate Droid Rom, its up and running, but now RomManger is gone, it says it is on my Droid, but i don't see it in the launcher, and it wont let me open it from the market, thoughts?

Do you have root explorer it may be installed in /system/app/ that could be the issue don't know

Try going to the market, uninstalling it from there, and re-installing it.
