So, I was over a friend's house the other day, playing cards. They had the TV tuned to Jeopardy. Suddenly, I happen to notice a commercial for the Thunderbolt. Of course, I didn't capture it, but I do vaguely remember the script. It was somewhat typical of an HTC commercial, though they certainly went with much more high-energy music than the little piano medley they usually use. The announcer's bit went something like this:
"You have a need for speed. You have a dog named Wifi. To you, 'buffering' is a dirty word. You need a phone that's as fast as you. You need the HTC Thunderbolt. With blazing fast 4G-LTE speeds, it'll easily keep up with you."

It showed off Skype video chat, and they also apparently tied the thing to a remote control helicopter by its kickstand. Don't have the video, sadly, but has anyone else seen this commercial? If so, why haven't we heard a release date, yet, when they're bombarding the airwaves with an ad blitz?

I haven't seen this one... but would really like to. Hopefully someone finds it soon.

its not verizon commercial. they are the ones who will be selling the phone. htc can show off phones all day, its up to the carrier to sell an announce them.

not to be negative nancy.

an we all know verizon removed all the thunderbolt ads from its youtube account........an i havent seen a tbolt commercial in at least 2 days.

That commercial is on youtube.. Some1 here recorded it with off the tv to their phone and posted. Saw it yesterday or day before.
If I run into the link I'll post here.

He never said it was a verizon commercial. He actually said it was a HTC produced commercial. He was just reporting his find.

Why HTC waste money to make an ad for a "not-ready to be released" phone? I believe that even the ad is not done by verizon but still means the phone is very near since you can only buy this phone from verizon in US.

I don't worry about the release date as long as they can fine-tune the phone in its best condition. I learned a lesson from Atrix, quick release date and got many bugs. Returned it already and came back to wait for TB.

Anyone else annoyed by the use of the word "NOW"?

definitely.

but i don't think thats the video the OP was talking about? this is that thing we saw a week or two ago from the viral video ad company that made the thing for HTC.
i wanna see this commercial :/
