I've been mulling that over. Best I saw was $350, though. Plus I'd have to make up some BS story for the wife to explain the Note 3's sudden appearance and cover up the $400 outlay for something she would no doubt try to convince me I didn't really need.
My wife gets on me too. She doesn't understand that it is an interest no different from the ones she has. But she still gives me grief about purchasing new phones. However, she Can spend $75 a month on a gym membership that she never uses because any free moment she gets she goes to the spa and spends $100 a visit. But I waste too much money on smartphones.

Understand that the gym membership is important because she never knows when she may want to go.
The spa visits are too important to give up.
Your wife will never understand your phone interest. Don't try to explain.
Concentrate on things that you enjoy doing together.
