So many more clicks than the S5 ! Ease of use issues.

So I just upgraded from the S5 to the S9 - yeah, I know, been a while. There are a few things I really miss from my S5.
1 - on the S5 from the list of messages and contacts you could swipe right or left to call or text. Easy peasy. With the S9, you have to select and then it takes you to the contact. I know I can do phone from phone logs and text from message logs but that is SO much more work. Geesh.
2 - it was easy on the S5 to hold the home button and talk to say - message Stan or call Stan. Bixby one has to hold the key and harder to do if can't see the screen. And does not work as well.
3 - OH -that annoying huge block of text under every contact telling me - 'To view recent events, yadayadayada allow access to calendars ' - I don't WANT to, stop asking me for every single person. How do I get rid of that?
OH - and then when it DOES work - the speaker button is not defaulted. How is that hands free help?
Any thoughts ? Thanks.

As far as the speakerphone, most people want their phone calls to be private, with an option to use the speakerphone. (I suppose they could put the default choice in Settings somewhere.)

For swipe to call or text, Settings > advanced features > swipe to call or send messages > tap to turn on.

For #2 you can say "Hi, Bixby" turn that on in the bixby settings "voice wakeup", to use it without having to hold the bixby button. Also works for "ok google" if you want to use Google assistant instead.

For Bixby voice the phone has to be unlocked. Google assistant voice works when the phone is locked.
