So they are already rolling out 4.4 yo the DROID Maxx and Droid Ultra on Verizon. Does this mean other phones might see it soon as well?

The maxx update was released last year but was pulled because it supposedly bricked some phones. X 4.4 was released last year as well. Really if you want early updates on Verizon, then moto is the way to go.

My guess is that the Note 3 update is still a good month away on Verizon. I think the updates are way overhyped nowadays. I don't stress out about it. Everybody wants the latest and greatest. But, at the level that the manufacturers are customizing their UI's, there's no real delineation between all of the different phones out there. A lot of times, the OEMs add features that aren't included in the official stock updates yet.
