So new to Android, so overwhelmed!

I don't know the first thing about these Android devices. Rooting, changing the theme, lockscreen and whatnot. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? I'm just lost in this big forum, too. Sorry if this is a repost.

Well, first, you need to go and find your device in the forums . There, you can find instructions to rooting, unless its a newly-released device and hasn't been rooted yet. If this is true, I can pretty much guarantee it will be pretty soon- the Android community is pretty much the best . Also, I'm not sure if you can normally change the actual way to unlock the screen, unless you're running certain custom ROMs, but you can add widgets to your lockscreen with WidgetLocker Lockscreen from the market (unless you have Sense 3.0, then it's free, lol.)
