I was told by the reps at Radio Shack there will be no 4G coverage in NYC until the end of July but we still have to pay the fee lol. How does that make any sense? I didn't believe him being that I had read all over that NYC was def. going to be covered by launch so I got home tried it and to my surprise, he was right! Balls!
So NO 4G Coverage in NYC.

NYC has limited coverage, but only for testing. They might have turned it off. Just wait, and at least you are getting 4G.
The Extra $10 is to lift the supposed data Cap... Not for 4G...
Your Unlimited isn't actually Unlimited until this Charge is applied...

No, it's only going to extend around 15 miles out from NYC. I live in Smithtown, which is too far away. BTW, phones don't have any cap on them at all. The fee is to help pay for the rollout of 4G towers.
Damn smithtown i worked in Massapequa/Amityville and its still almost 35 40 mins away. 15 miles radius sucks!!!

3 years! I am NOT going to continue to pay a fuc***g $10 fee for three years for a service that I don't have! I too live on Long Island, about 35 minutes from LGA, so who knows if 4G will ever be available here.

Sprint hasn't disclosed any of their extended rollouts. We know some other cities that are getting it, but nothing on the Island.
In all honesty, I can understand the anger coming from this fee. However, you should have been aware of it prior to purchasing your 4G phone. Sprint is still cheaper than AT&T, and to a degree, cheaper than Verizon. I would have patience, cancel your service if it really does bother you.
