That pertains to the bionic this doesn't. It wasn't said to have an unlockable bootloader like the bionic is supposed to and bionic isn't being ordered yet.

Being locked isn't the bad thing its if it is unlockable and not encrypted.

Yes we know, but Motorola always encrypts. This will be no different.

If its unlockable you can change the kernel doesn't matter if its encrypted or not check out xoom its unlockable and kernel can be changed. Being locked down and encrypted is when you cant change kernel.
