I been getting mixed reports about the stylus. Some people are saying it's a S Pen. While others are saying it's not. Some people are saying it's similar to the S Pen but doesn't have the same specs and functions. This will be a deciding factor if I want to get the new Chromebook. I been using a Galaxy Tab A 9.7 tablet. And the Chromebook has double the specs maybe even more then the Galaxy Tab A. If I can use the S Pen on it then I'm buying it for sure. I need something for drawing and most of the other tablets are way expansive. And there hasn't been a new Note tablet in a few years now.

The Chromebook Pro/Plus has what looks like an S Pen, but is really just a stylus. There's no side button on this pen to activate the Air Command menu like on Galaxy Note phones and tablets.

Yea, it's not a SPen. I think all the new Chromebooks will have the same pen support. It's part of the new hardware spec.

I got my unit yesterday
It must be some kind of wacom device as my old stylus that worked with my galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition and prior galaxy note 5 /note 7 devices works with this--with palm rejection.
The one thing I noticed--it writes well, but no pressure sensitivity--at least the lines don't seem to change thickness with varying amounts of pressure. But it sure seems like its an active technology-not passive.
I think its a wacom tech but not clear if there is no pressure sensitivity or that isn't fully supported in software. yes.
I'll install more android apps when I get home and see.
the button on my older stylus don't seem to do anything.
