So theres no way for me to root now?

Installed the 'official' 2.1 update and from what I've heard there is no way to root now am I pretty much stuck with this?

What 'official'? The official leak or the official RUU? If you flashed from the RUU, youre SOL and have to wait for an exploit.

It wasn't the leak, I got it from Sprints website yesterday damn this sucks but I guess its my fault

If you used the RUU from last friday or the one released yesterday, then yes, you are SOL, if it was an older file, its rooted and you can fix the bootloader. If you double tap menu to unlock the screen, does the manu option pop on the screen after its unlocked? Thats a bug in the older one, which means you can fix the bootloader and flash a recovery image to it. If yours doesn't, then that is the official release.
