So videos are coming out. iPhone 8 vs Note 8

Re: Yet Another Speed Test Between Note 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

Benchmark don't mean jack as you can clearly see an the ram management of the iPhone 8 sucks

Yea this shows that the Note 8 opens faster on some apps regardless of benchmark

I hate these comparisons. They are two completely different devices and work completely different.

But that processor is a beast. Once iPhone optimize their apps for the a11, it'll be noticeably faster right?
I doubt it.

Remember, iOS11 was built for the iPhone 8/Plus and X, the entire OS is built around that A11 Bionic chip, and Apple always ensure to give developers the tools to optimise for the new devices, iOS 11 was in public Beta for a long time.

I get the feeling the A11 may actually be the iPhone 8's pro and con. Pro because it is a brilliant chip, insanely powerful but it seems that Apple are also having to tame all that power for Battery Efficiency, as the iPhone 8s batteries are smaller than the 7s they replace. The power and RAM management seem to be trying to compensate for the A11s demanding nature.

All assumption. Though, but this will always be an issue for any batter powered devices, it's a fine balance between Power and Battery Efficiency, and as these chips get ever more powerful and add AI capabilities, it's becoming more difficult to get a good balance it seems.

Ram management has always been bad in iPhone. I just don't see why they have more ram. The stuff is cheap but at the same time space isn't.
Also it's a pretty good idea to pack in a insanely powerful chip and then cut back it's speed and design for efficiency to get that battery life up.
