Goggle's response is very strange because the security is in the NFC device as well as the CPU. Sounds like they are giving up on Wallet. Too bad because I liked it the few times that it worked with the POS terminals.

It's not really practical to use a tablet at a payment kiosk. I just hope they aren't abandoning it altogether because I love it on my N4.

The secure element is a chip independent of both CPU and NFC.
