Can't wait. The Google Now parts look just amazing. Much improved search and voice search, and notification bar. Very impressed with everything I saw, as I was expecting a smaller, more behind the scenes update.

I know me too. I mean if you think about it, both wp8 and iOS 6 were "big" upgrades for their platforms with many new features, while we only got a small incremental upgrade but just as many features. I love jb so far.

I hope Verizon GNex gets it reasonably fast. I bought I Nexus so I wouldn't have to root it to get the newest updates, but VZW lost all my trust with how long the 4.0.4 update took!

Verizon- update and fast is like saying McDonald's- super size and healthy eating.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence. Sent using tapatalk 2.

I agree...what is the likelihood that we will see JB for our VZW Nexus phones when Google releases it in July?

With the amount of the time that it took to release the 4.0.4 update for ICS, I'm not holding my breath...

If you're unlocked and rooted, you'll see it pretty soon after release. If your not (I have no idea why anyone would buy a Nexus and not unlock it), you might see the update around November/December.

someone made a bet a while ago in a thread that while Jelly Bean would be announced, the VZW Nexus wouldn't get it. Who are you and is that bet still one?! ;)

It was more a blatant, unfounded statement. I know exactly who it was but I'm not gonna call them out because, whatever, lol.

I loved what I saw about JB. The app encryption is not getting as much attention as it deserves. It's a huge step towards reliability, will help developers protect their IP and get rewarded, will weed out malware that has used repackaged apps as vehicles in the past.

"Butter" is also a good initiative, I had assumed that this sort of measures were already taken with ICS, but it is commendable that Google works continuously on improving Android efficiency.

The voice search is evolving nicely and I expect it to overshadow third-party apps such as S-voice. It seems like a natural development of Google search, towards two-way speech and context recognition built in. Off-line STT is also nice to have.

There was so much in the keynote that I got overwhelmed -- Google+ deserves an honorable mention, really digging the party mode.

All the devices announced -- OMG! Nexus 7 looks like a certain buy for me; the $300 Q thing not as likely. Really loved the Project Glass show -- things like this make Google the most amazing tech company.

Heck yeah, I love the auto replies and the new on-phone search features a lot and I really was awed by the whole of keynote 1 at Google I/O this year. So much innovation..

I've been running the leaked build for a few hours now (easily found via a Google search--the Verizon version now has fixed LTE and WiFi connectivity)

It's so smooth! Buttery smooth ;)
And the new voice recognition is quite amazing. Blows Siri and S voice out of the water.
High five to Google.
