Agreed, I'm actually able to use the VIP caller feature without it messing up!

Verizon Rolls Out Ice Cream Sandwich to Droid Razr, Razr Maxx | News & Opinion | PCMag.com

Verizon DROID RAZR Ice Cream Sandwich update goes live from today - SlashGear

The update to all Razrs started on the 22nd. Just Google it! You not privileged because you where part of a test.

Guys just check for the update. Its out since the 22nd.

This. So much this. So many entitled people coming here. The soak was either bypassed or much smaller scale than normal. The official rollout started Friday.

really..how can that be...the guy above you said its been out since the 22nd ..

they usually start rolling out the OTA 2-3 days after the soak is over so I am guessing wednesday people will start getting it.

BTW Mat at moto said this was the largest soak they had ever done. Anyone can sign up to be part of the soak test, just go to moto and signup.

Another poster claiming "inside information" said that something like 1000 Razr owners that were NOT part of the soak test were included in an OTA that started on the 22nd. I was apparently one of them, receiving mine early in the morning on the 23rd.

As good an explanation as any, but lends some credibility to my original claim (and Verizon's announcement) that the "public rollout" started on the 22nd :D

If the public roll out started on the 22nd, why are they waiting for survey results to be submitted by mid day on the 26th to make a decision on weather to roll out out our not? Hmmmm.....

The rollout on the 22nd to NON soak testers was likely to test the OTA version for issues. The soak testers got the file in a different fashion than the typical OTA. So some unsuspecting users got the OTA push to see how smooth the OTA updates will go. Thats what is believed to be why.

I don't buy it. I think the non soakers who got the update were the benifactors of a typo, either by people responding to the Moto owner's forum email, or by Moto typing in 2,500 emid's to get updated... Either way, I don't think it was intentional.

edit: I got my soak update ota, the same way everyone else will get theirs very very soon...

the last razr update to 181 there were also some people who were not in the soak who got the update when the soak was sent out.

Until we start seeing more than a handful of people getting the OTA update, it hasn't gone public yet. There's a large difference between technically and reality. Technically the roll-out started 6/22; in reality, it hasn't started yet. I'm good either way and just waiting patiently. After a week on a new OS it becomes a lot less of a big deal anyway.

Last week before the official press release from Verizon there were rumors ICS would roll out on the 27th.... Maybe the plan was always to release it to the public on the 27th(tomorrow) and that would have given them 5 days of soak testing...just saying
