Software issues with Gear S/ Note3, can I please get some help?

software issues with gear S/ Note3

I have a galaxy note 3 and just bought a gear S and am having some serious issues with the watch. It worked fine for about 2 weeks and out of nowhere a complete software meltdown. The screen flashes on like it detect movement or user input then quickly flashes off even when it is sitting still on a table. I cannot get the watch to do anything as the screen only stays on for about half a second then turns off no matter what button or where I'm touching the screen. I cannot get into any of the setting to change anything because of this. Also the battery begins to drain rapidly and get warm. I have restarted the watch several times with the same issue every time. I am unable to factory reset the watch from the watch itself because the glitch clears the menu before I can select anything. I have sent the watch to samsung for repairs and they reset it and said there was nothing wrong with it and sent it back. It worked for an hour or two and then my phone prompted me to restore it from a saved backup. I did this thinking i could get all my setting back quickly and it worked after the backup for a few minutes but when I connected it to the charge pack, which wasn't plugged into anything, the glitch immediately happened again and I'm stuck with sending it back. The samsung support stated it was most likely an issue with my phone causing this problem. I don't have much on the watch other than 62 songs 2 downloaded watch faces and like 6 apps. Now this same problem happened with the Sony smartwatch 3 I had three weeks into owning it but it wasnt quite this bad. I haven't had a single issue with my phone which i have had for almost 2 years so im not sure what to do to keep this from happening over and over again other than wipe my phone clean and the watch and start over with both. Help :(
