Software Problems with Nokia 6.1

It often forgets the default settings, like double pressing the power button opens the camera, but it requires me to choose which app to use as a camera every other day(i have installed 2 cameras) . I have disabled the whatsapp group notification tone, but it forgets that too and i still hear the group tones. The photos app is not working as it works on my other devices, like it has not yet been able to sort people and still shows organising photos. When i download a new app, the notification says updating the app. also, the google assistant is not working properly, it shows me a blank white screen when i tell it to send a whatsapp message to a contact.
Are all these, issues with the hardware, or its compatibilty with the android 8.1,or there are some bugs in the software only.
