So i just got my software update 1.95.401.3. Says it brings Pokemon Go optimizations, system enhancements and August security patch. It is 526 MB. Downloading now. Android 6.0.1

No, tried it for 5 minutes and catched a Pokemon, then i stopped and deleted it. Total nonsense really. Just wanted to see what the fuss was all about.

Me too, but my son is hooked, so I leave it for him. But my point was HTC actually working optimizations for it into the update. It's unusual.

I believe it has to do with the HTC boost app, which they just adjusted for pokemon. They didn't update the phone purely for a game.

If you mean the HTC+ Boost app, it wasn't even installed on my phone when I bought it (from Verizon), so that would be a very odd connection for them to make. Why not just update that app specifically versus adding code to an update? Either way, I know the update wasn't solely made for the game, but the fact that they put effort into adding a game "optimization" to the code is fascinating.

This one is definately the international version.

WiFi Calling stopped working after the update. I'm on EE UK....

Nice to know HTC is optimizing their phones. The game is really crazy. Don't see what people like it so much in the games. I would rather play some high end graphics games on the phone. Love Asphalt 8 and Riptide 2.
