I was tinkering around with rooting my phone a few days back, successfully rooted and since 4.3 in pending for my phone I decided to check. I got this message saying I couldn't update my phone, I was confused because I have rooted and then updated my phone. Anyways, I got rid of the root using root triangle away then went back to see if I could update, all i had was the update loading just a loop that wouldn't end returning no results. How can I change this back to normal without having to reset my phone completely. I've been looking around and have tried unmounting my sd card, wiping the cache partition and turning my phone off - none of it works. Is there a way? This is my first post as well, thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
Have you tried to update through Kies?

You might need to restore a factory ROM to update the device. Although you removed root access, the update may still detect files necessary for root and is not allowing the update to complete.

Look for a stock Odin file to restore the device to a stock ROM and you should be able to update from there.
