Software Update problem

Hello,

I own a HTC One M8 (AT&T) unlocked. After unlocking my phone seems to recieve no further updates from AT&T. It's still running the Android 4.4.2 when there are official lollipop updates on the HTC website.

There's a manual update method shown on the website but I'm confused whether to download the ROM update under the Unlocked section or the AT&T section.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you still on the AT&T network? If you unlocked it and moved on to another network, that's probably why you're not getting updates. You could get a cheap prepaid AT&T plan, put the SIM in, and then see if you can get the system update that way. But if you'd rather flash it manually, I'll let others more knowledgeable about that process weigh in.

If you are using it on at&t then use the ruu from at&t. As Diddy said if you are on a different network then use the unlocked/developer ruu. Just remember a ruu will wipe your data and everything on the internal storage so make backups.
