Software update

I don't have my Tab pro 8.4 set to do updates on auto. Notice when I had it check that an update is available. Anyone know what update that could be?
Tend to avoid updates unless I know they don't create a problem. I notice someone posted recently that they had a problem after a recent update.

Someone always has a problem after an update... no matter what the update is... someone, somewhere will have a problem, run to a forum and post it. Don't take a few rare observations of troubles, that might not even be directly connected to the update, and use it to decide your future.

I did the update on 2 devices and had absolutely no problems. Its some sort of kernel update, likely to fix somewhat obscure bugs deep in the code. If your device is having no problems, and you have fear of it, then skip it.

Thanks for the info boufa. I would prefer if Samsung would indicate what their updates are for so I can determine whether to update.

Have only seen this one update in the past year and I know it caused or supposedly caused a problem for 2 persons who updated. I was hoping to see more assurances that these were exceptions to the rule. You are the only person who has indicated they did the update and everything is fine.Not a great sample.
