Received a software update notification. Has anyone tried installing it yet?

Is it going to brick the phone?

Just installed the update on my Verizon N5 and it runs just a fast and fluid as before.

I applied it. No issues so far. Looks like security updates.

Downloading now. Any word on what it is? My wife received the security update on her S6 a couple of days ago. I thinking this is the same.

As far as I can tell the update seems to have fixed a signal problem I was having that was causing battery life to suffer.

My battery drain seems better as well...will wait a day or so to confirm but seems better with screen on and standby

My battery life was great already.. If they mess with that and make it worse I'll be pissed. But my signal was terrible this past weekend so if they did sneak a signal fix in, I'll be happy. Better Security is typically a good thing.

Why would a software upgrade brick your phone? I highly doubt it's a common occurrence.

I havent noticed a difference in battery.

Sent with my white Note5 with nonremovable back and no SDcard!

The battery drain on mine seems unchanged. However, when connected to wifi my applications don't seem to update until I go into the application.

For instance, whatsapp will be silent for 30 minutes so I go into it to send a message and I suddenlly get 5 messages with time stamps spuratic during the the time I was off the phone.

I had this problem on my Note 4, but haven't had it at all until this update yesterday afternoon on my Note 5.

Also today, my phone thought that I had no SIM Card installed. I had to reboot to get it to work again. Just a little while ago I was floating between 4G and 1x to no data at all from Verizon.

Thoughts?
