Software Updates & Smart Switch Bkups

Are Software Update changes like this recent Sept one included in Smart Switch Backups?
I Backed-up the day B4 the Sept Update was installed so (to be accurate) IS another Backup Called for?

No not necessary, it backs up your contacts,settings,pictures etc..
Don't have do back up when a software update becomes available.
