Incredibly convoluted, but it works. I used it to go from BTU (UK) to DBT (Germany), which gets updates first. The same method should allow you to debrand a carrier-branded i9505.

Follow these instructions at your own risk, dragons ahead etc. If you don't know what any of this means, it's probably not for you.

1) In ODIN, flash the oldest possible version of a ROM with CSC you want to change to. (Ideally an April 2013 build. Samfirmware.com and Samsung-updates.com are good sources for ODIN-flashable ROMs.) You're doing this because root mode in the CSC Changer app doesn't work on newer ROMs.
2) Root using CF-AutoRoot. (Flash through ODIN.)
3) Start up your phone. Install busybox from Google Play - https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...s/details?id=stericson.busybox&token=QSKeTgXC
4) Install CSC Changer from Google Play - https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...ls?id=com.manniakk.cscselector&token=k-Bymcu-
5) Run CSC Changer, select root mode and click the button.
6) Select the CSC you want from the list and tap Install (this will reboot and factory reset your phone.)
7) After your phone starts up again, reboot into stock recovery (hold volup+power while the device is off) to confirm the CSC change.
8) Reboot into download mode. In ODIN, flash the latest version of ROM with your new CSC - the one you've just changed to.
9) Profit. You've now got an up-to-date stock installation on a fresh CSC. You should be good for further updates via Kies or OTA.

Does this work for the gt i9500 as well?
Should do, if you have a root method for that phone (the CF-AutoRoot I linked to is for the i9505 only). The important part of this process is finding an old firmware that's vulnerable to the tricks used by CSC Changer. If you can find i9500 firmware that lets you do that, you're good to go.

Hey Alex please answer my question.

Alex,
My current CSC is New Zealand kitkat VNZ. It has one single CSC and that of VNZ.
I need to change it any Australian CSC for galaxy s4 to get the future update. I have installed other firmware but non of them have Australian CSC.

Alex,

this for mobiles with JB 4.3 only. Kitkat changed bootloader , and there is no way to go back.

Just visit sammobiles.com and download the latest Germany firmware , there are many of them.
You need Root , Odin and CMW recovery to wipe all previous data and do hard reset. Then flash the right German Rom using odin.
Search and you will find.
