So, I had my battery tab rip out the other day. Wasn't too pleased. Didn't really know what I was going to do. But, I found that I can keep a really small paperclip back there and use it to pop the battery out. You just have to press the round part of the paper clip down where the tab used to be and it'll lift right up. And, like I said, you can actually keep the paper clip in there if it's small enough. It doesn't affect the backing attaching to the phone, and, it didn't make it so that my case wouldn't fit. I'm sure no one would even know it was in there unless I told them. So, I thought it was a pretty good solution and just wanted to share, in case anyone else has experienced this as well.

Has anyone else experienced this? How did you solve the issue of not being able to remove your battery?

Just make absolutely sure the paper clip doesn't move around while you're storing it in the battery compartment, otherwise you might have a much more serious problem, like a shorted out phone if it gets in just the right place.

The day I bought my Droid X, I felt uneasy about using the battery tab it felt like it would rip. So what I did is put a piece of Scotch Tape from the back to the front and folded it in front to make a small "Tab" works better than the stock tab and is real easy to take out. It has been on their since new (15 months).

Nah, it doesn't move around. Also, it's crammed in on top of the battery. There aren't any visible components that it could possibly touch. Even if it had free reign to move around the entire inside. There is no way it could touch anything.

Hey, that's a great idea, and, thanks for the pic. I think I'll try that.
