I use a Motorola razr 2024 flip phone, running Android 14. I set my screen to lock after 2 minutes of idle time. But whenever I fold and unfold the phone, I'm prompted to enter my password, well within 2 minutes. I can't find the place to disable this quick locking in the Settings. Thanks for help!

Not sure if there's similar options on the Razr (checking on a Samsung phone), but on mine those options are in "Secure Lock Settings" and have the option to set whether the power button and/or turning off the screen locks the screen automatically or not.

Thank you! I checked again. Didn't find Secure Lock Settings or anything that sounds like it.

Solved! I have to go to Settings - Security & privacy - Device unlock - Screen lock (the gear icon, not the words) - Power button instantly locks. Turn that off. In fact, I realize folding the phone is equivalent to pressing the power button.

By default, I can flip open the phone without being prompted to enter my passeord <5 seconds after I fold it. I can change the time to a longer time on this screen, under Lock after screen timeout, which is 5 seconds by default. This setting is independent of the 2 min setting under Display - Screen timeout.
