Question (solved) best adblocker app question

Not really the question you are asking, but between my Eero router's ad blocking function and Surfshark VPN CleanWeb ad blocker, I get virtually no ads on Android devices, Microsoft devices and Apple devices.

As to your question, one of the best ad blocking apps I have personally tried for Android is the Brave Private Web Browser available in the Play Store. Besides blocking ads, it also has a lot of other nifty features for browsing the web and maintaining some privacy.

How about paid adguard app (not free adguard app) for android?
Sorry, I haven't had any personal experience with the app. I do know that the paid version is somewhat expensive compared to its competition and that it is also a Russian owned company, if that is something which would be a concern for you (the U.S. government recently banned Kaspersky software (also Russian), calling it an "undue or unacceptable risk to U.S. national security or the safety and security." Hopefully, someone that has experience using it can weigh in.

I don't use ad blocker apps on my phone -- just on my Chromebook (uBlock Origin, which won't work on a phone). I avoid ads by paying for YouTube Premium and the ad-free tiers for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, and not going to sites that are loaded with ads (that's a sure way for a site to lose my eyeballs).

I purchased Adguard Lifetime Licenses during Black Friday several years back. I have it on my s24U, Tab s6, Tab s8U, N20U, & my Husband's s24U & Tab s7.

It works very well, but to get the benefit of the paid version, you need to study up on the features on their site so you know how to set them up. (Unless you're smarter than me, then you'll probably understand it better. 😁) I also really like the firewall features.

If I wasn't satisfied with it, I definitely wouldn't have purchased so many licenses. Is it the best? I haven't used every option out there, so I can't answer that.

I purchased a lifetime licence for Adguard around 10 years ago. The company is in Cyprus, not Russia. I've had no problems with it at all. I do have a YouTube paid subscription. I use Adguard to block ads in websites, not to block ads in apps. If I like an app, I'll buy the ad free version.
