My last motherboard stopped working so I need to replace it. Bought a working one off of ebay and the phone works fine now, however I can't send or receive texts or calls. The weirdest part is that I am still able to get 4g and 3g data when I am away from home. When I try to make a call it says, you are roaming please call your carrier or press 1 to make a collect call (or something along those lines). It does this even when I am at home where I can see the cell tower less than a mile away. Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!

Edit: Have trying dialing *228 to activate it, and it says unable to activate.

Sounds like there is something in the ROM locking it to another carrier. You may have to flash the ROM to get it right.

I called my carrier and it was actually because my MEID on my motherboard didn't match the MEID on the account's file so it was causing connection problems!
