Solved [SOLVED] Samsung Internet Popups

My mom is getting popups irrelevant of what screen or app she has open. They're popping up using the Samsung Internet app. She has to tap the thin title bar and drag them to the trash can every time the popup, and they're getting more and more frequent.

I have:
* Disabled popups in Samsung Internet
* Installed popup blockers
* Removed all of the apps I can that she doesn't use

Nothing has made an impact. If I can't pin this down, I'll have to factory reset her phone, which I really don't want to do.

Is there any way to pinpoint where these are coming from?

Go into 'Popups', as pictured, and verify you have toggled correctly.

Type 'notification' into your Settings search bar.
Select 'Notifications'
Go through the list and disable everything that should not be able to pop up.

Hi, Method. Thank you for your response. I have done that, and it is still occurring.

I have just realized they're also opening in Chrome. I have disabled all notifications and blocked popups via settings in Chrome as well.

Go to settings>notifications>advanced settings>is floating notifications off?

If you tap the blue inside the pop up should give options to expand or delete?

Uninstall third party popup blocker too

Floating notifications are already disabled, and I do have the option to expand. That is how I found out it is using Chrome for the pop up. Notifications and popups have been disable for Chrome as well.

Excellent point on the pop-up blocker since it's not working. It has been removed.

Floating notifications are already disabled, and I do have the option to expand. That is how I found out it is using Chrome for the pop up. Notifications and popups have been disable for Chrome as well.

Method:
Excellent point on the pop-up blocker since it's not working. It has been removed.

Then go to settings>advanced features>multiple windows and turn swipe for pop up toggle off

Welcome to Android Central! These kinds of popups can be related to installed apps as well. You already mentioned uninstalling apps that she doesn't need, but can you tell us which 3rd party apps remain installed? This kind of thing doesn't happen with major apps (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc.), but is more common from smaller developers, especially in certain categories like file managers, "phone cleaners", flashlight apps, and others.

I went through her apps with a finer toothed comb and it appears to have resolved the issue. They formally appeared after unlocking the device, but we haven't experienced them for hours.

Removing more apps. She had two different QR scanners, yelp, amongst some other things I can't remember installed, but were junk as far as I'm concerned.

One of the apps must've been causing the popups.

If by accident it happens by swipe feature from corner of any app and goes into pop up mode then toggle off the one in my screenshot I mentioned

Oh yeah, QR scanners are another category rife with adware (and also potential malware, depending on where you get them). There's absolutely no need for 3rd party QR scanners on Android phones, since it's built-in to most stock camera apps.
