[Solved]Why is my share button not working with Gmail after latest android security patch?

I think my problem started with the latest security patch.
The Gmail app doesn't work properly when called via the share button on the Chrome and Ecosia browsers. To email a link to a Guardian article I have to copy the URL and paste it into a new email.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you already try clearing the app cache/data for the browsers in Settings>Apps?

Try also wiping the cache partition: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/de...go displays,to highlight wipe cache partition.

You can try clear cache in recovery or go settings>apps>3 dots upper right tap and reset app preferences

Hi! FYI, it was my Bluelight filter app! Recently started overlaying Gmail screen ONLY when Gmail was accessed via Share. Worked well for ages. Don't know why it started causing problems. It has to be able to overlay other apps to reduce screen brightness. Change that setting and it loses its purpose...

Lol! Took me ages to figure it out...

Aha! Nice detective work. Those apps that can Draw Over Other Apps (aka Screen Overlay) are known to interfere with onscreen buttons.
