Some apps can access internet, and others can't.

on my Samsung Galaxy S7, some apps can access the internet and others can't. for instance, Chrome and Metal Slug Attack have no connection issues, while Reddit and Steam can't load anything at all. there was a recent software update which i completed last night, and i can't help but think that was the culprit.

i've tried a network reset and it did not help; neither did restarting a few times.

neither mobile data nor wifi allow the affected apps to connect.

any ideas?
