Right now I'm testing a new rom for one of the devs. I'm not free to tell you which one, which dev or anything else, but I'm having one item that is turning out to be spectacular so I'm sharing the info here (see screenshot).

Since I'm under orders to give out no information about who the dev is or the rom all I can tell you is the screenshot tells a huge story about a great rom that, hopefully, will be released before too long.

Also, this is using the STANDARD battery.

This might be the best April Fools yet...
(I sure hope not...I would actually consider rooting if this is true and comes to fruition..)

lol. Uptime and awake time are generally meaningless unless you reboot the phone before you take it off the charger.

LOL

No, didn't think about the date today but that is actual usage. That being said you also need to know about my usage patterns. First, I have all vibrate stuff turned off, I have all bloat removed, I'm not in a 4G area so the phone is set to CDMA (auto) PRL, I only rarely use data as my home and office are both covered by wireless. I do use SetCPU but it is in default mode.

As always, YMMV. We all use our phones differently so my experience may be different from yours (eventually). And for skeptics, I have rebooted my phone just now and am charging and will show the stats tomorrow after we get a good 24 hours on a new charge/rebooted.

lol. You could've just clicked Battery Use and posted that screen. That's the one that really matters.

Ok, I'll post that screen also tomorrow. I'm not trying to take any credit here, I didn't create this rom, I'm just testing it. I only posted to show that there is some nice stuff coming out for the TB.

If we could get a solid 2 days out of the stock battery, remove the bloat and not have to turn off everything it would be nice.

Two days...on the stock battery. I need to know where you are buying yours because it is obviously better than mine :D

Seriously, if we could get 16 hours out of a stock (1400 mah) battery, it would be wonderful. I doubt you will ever see two days, unless you have everything turned off and never use your phone ;)

This does look promising...

I know you can't answer but I do need to ask anyways... When is this releasing? LOL. Lookin and sounding good. I'll be waiting to flash this one

I guess I should point out that I was one of the lucky ones who's battery did OK after the first couple of charges. I've not had any of the really nasty bad battery stories to tell. I won't say that the battery is good, HTC really botched it by putting a 1400 maH battery in this phone.

I even ordered the mammoth extended battery when I ordered the phone but sent it back because I just couldn't handle the size and weight of the phone with that thing on it.

Also, note my caveats earlier, I'm not a heavy data user because I'm on wireless most of the time. Even so, I'm getting great usage right now.

As for release, I don't know, its not my decision and all I could offer up is a total guess on my part and that doesn't hold any weight. I'll post here when I get permission to as to what the rom is and the release date.

nice man....im currently up 2 hours and 20min and im at 97%! (yes i restarted few and charged all the way to 100)

granted i have not used the phone much today...but im rooted, removed all bloatware and unnecessary widgets/programs for me...my vibration is on, i am on wifi most of the day at office, and my brightness is around 24%

i dont have juice defender or setcpu yet, cant wait see how much more life they give me when i figure out what settings to use

I just said it'd be nice...LOL.
I can get two...with the fatty daddy battery. :)
I, much like you I'm sure, didn't buy a Ferrari to pull in and out of the garage.
I bought it to drive it...

Agreed :D

Just having a little fun...And I love the analogy:eek:

I do use my phone. I have two gmail accounts and an exchange account for work. I don't want to have to be careful or shut things off to make it through the day. I am close to that point but not quite there yet. I know with the source out there now, we will get much better things and I can't wait.

Well, I promised more pics today about battery and what was running. It ain't going to happen. Trying to be "helpful", my wife last night charged her phone and when she took it off the charger she decided to go ahead and charge mine. So, I could give you bogus pics and stats but I'd rather just give you the truth and suffer any barbs anyone wants to chuck my way.

Since I'm testing this I did keep an eye on stuff all day yesterday and I can tell you that I had 20 hours (don't know how many minutes over 20 hours) on it before it hit the charger and it had just a hair over 6 hours (awake time) of use and it had approx. 45 percent charge left. Those numbers are not exact and are just my recollection of what it was the last time I checked on it which is probably the last time I used it before it hit the charger.

Its charging again now to start out a fresh run and I'll report back again tomorrow and my wife has instructions to not touch!
