Some iPhone users suddenly not receiving text messages sent from my Samsung

This is a very odd problem. All of a sudden, several people with whom I've been communicating by text until now, are not receiving my texts. I can see theirs, but they can't see my replies. I have a Samsung Note 10+ and these recipients are all iPhone users. I first became aware of this problem because one of the users who had been expecting a text from me kept asking why she hadn't heard from me and was getting worried. The last message she saw from me was Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, I had sent several messages and replies but she didn't see them. Since then, I have confirmed that at least 2 more iPhone users have not received my text messages and replies since Thursday.

I Googled the problem and saw an article saying it can happen with the latest iPhone update - but the first person I talked to said she had not installed the update. A couple of other iPhone users I know DO receive my texts, so I'm not sure if the problem is limited to a particular iPhone model or carrier. Everybody's busy right now so I haven't had a chance to talk to them and find out what they might have in common other than it being an iPhone.

I realize this question might be more appropriate for an Apple forum, but I don't know of any. Any recommendations?

But I'm also asking here to see if anybody texting from a Samsung/Android device to a friend with an iPhone has experienced a similar issue.

Are these one-on-one texts, or part of group messages? I think there can be weirdness sometimes if an Android user is part of a group message with a lot of iPhone users, due to iMessage's wonkiness.

Both. With group texts, the person sees the other people's replies, but not mine! Others, I've been texting one-on-one. I see their messages, but they don't see mine.

In case it's an RCS issue, and if you have RCS chat features turned on, try turning it off on your phone.

Rich Communication Services, which is the protocol used by Android phones to gain more features on texting (akin to iMessage).

Which messaging app are you using? Google Messages or Samsung Messages (or something else)?

I generally use MySMS app, but I tried with "Messages" (I don't know if that's the default) with same result. I searched settings for RCS and can't find mention of it.

I believe that phone is too old to support RCS using the Samsung Messages app (or any 3rd party app) -- you typically need the Google Messages app for that. In any case, RCS doesn't seem to be the issue.

Are Android users getting all of your texts, or are some of them also missing them?

I can't say for sure that all Android users are getting my texts, just that those who aren't are all iPhone users. Some of the iPhone users are getting them.

Verify the icon by screenshot so we can determine which one your using
I generally use MySms. I tried with Samsung Messages, and then I downloaded Google Messages and tried that. Same result. I get their messages, but they don't receive mine. One person updated her iPhone with latest update, and still didn't get the messages. My phone is up to date. I believe it is the carrier, but everybody is too busy and I can't get all their information yet.

Thanks Mustang and B. Diddy for your help. I will have to get back later to work on this problem. Too much going on right now.

Well, my daughter, who one of the people on T-Mobile and not receiving my messages, got a new iPhone and now she can get them!

I had downloaded and installed Google Messages, and I noticed that when she texted me, "RCS message" appears in my reply box.

So, I realized I DO have RCS messaging on my phone. I went into settings and selected Automatically resend as text (SMS/MMS) Switch from RCS chats if a message can't send.

The "RCS message" showed up in one of my other contact's reply box, and she DID receive my message. She downloaded the latest update yesterday. The other two just showed "text message" -- so I assume my message sent as text, not RCS, but I haven't heard back from them so don't know if they received it.
