some issues with my Htc one

I've had this phone for a week and love it but it seems a little glitchy. For example the capacitive buttons are not sensitive enough. Since yesterday, my keyboard doesn't function properly. It gets stuck where when I type, nothing shows up on screen, this happens whether it's Swype or htc sense keyboard. This usually ends with a restart that solves the problem but if this continues I might have to switch phones.

I've also been trying to setup my notifications. I'm happy with it in normal and vibrate mode. I'd like my messages and email notifications to vibrate in silent mode. Is there a way to do this or will I need an app? Can you guys suggest some.
