Some names in texts are blue

Hi, in some of my threads, the names are blue highlighted and the rest are white. I'm sure it's something simple but can anyone tell me what the difference is? Thanks

i don't believe i ever got an answer when i asked this a couple weeks back...was happening on my wife's phone and every time messaging was opened a different name was in blue?

I believe I read somewhere that this happens when you have an Emergency Alert text in your list. This happened to me on my phone and once I deleted the Emergency Alert text everything was normal again.

Weird. I think you're spot on. It was random which ones would be blue and would change so I couldn't figure it out. After deleting the emergency alert they were still blue until I closed the messaging app from the task manager. Thanks for your response!

Yes, I received an emergency alert tonight, and when I deleted it the top message name turned blue with the rest remaining white.
